With great sadness in our ‘Mini-loving’ hearts we have to sell our beloved Island blue Austin Mini Countryman. This ‘Woody’ (a name it shares with the Morris Mini Traveller and of course the Minor) originates from 1968 and has spend his years in the UK till we bought it from it’s second owner.
It was restored in the UK by the late Arthur Senior, an ex (Mini)rally driver, to our specs in 1995. The Mini has only 50500 km on the clock since the restoration, was always stored dry and comes with more than one year of Dutch MOT which it passed without any issue again. It has participated on two Italian Jobs Runs in ‘97 & ‘99 and was has won many “best in shows” and won best Mini in ITJob 1997. It was originally build to serve as a sixty’s family car and we added all the extras to make it into a great ‘rally Woody’; comfy front seats, roll-over bar, big engine with big brakes, 5 speed Jack Knight gearbox
that reduces Rpm at 120 Km/h with a nice 1500. It comes with an original roof-rack, many original details and can be delivered with powder coated reverse Cooper rims if preferred over the Minilites and an extra set of Cooper rims for e.g. winter tyres. (but try to keep it dry in winter please...) 1995 full body restoration and replacement of any corroded body parts, new nose section and main underside. All bottom parts around the wheels are rubber coated before painting. All body parts have anti-rust protection by Dinitrol. Of course it has some small Mini rust issues but that comes with age, but they are only minor cosmetic spots, the engine runs very smoothly and we just love the hush that you can hear from the air-intakes when accelerating... ;-)
After owning it for more than 20 years we will miss it for sure...
